Design and Implementation
Our full scope of services includes 4 stages of Design and 2 stages of Implementation, articulated on a wide range of deliverables. In all stages we test and optimize our ideas through mock-ups, samples, computer simulations and lighting calculations.
Stage 1. Strategy design
Our vision on lighting starts upon receiving the project brief where we research and assess the requirements and constraints that will define our design approach.
Stage 2. Concept design
We develop and communicate our concept to the client and the design team through sketches, moodboads, diagrams and visualisations.
Stage 3. Design development
We develop our concept in scheme design through preliminary drawings and draft details, luminaire lists, lighting calculations, cost estimates and lighting control outlines.
Stage 4. Technical design
We develop our design information into technical detailed design with final lighting layouts, drawing details, luminaire and light sources specifications, lighting control diagrams and schedules, tables of proposed scene settings, calculations reports, control intent reports and cost evaluations. During this stage we prepare all documentation for precise tendering of the project.
Stage 5. Construction
We support the construction of the lighting scheme with on-site inspection visits to assess the accurate implementation of the design and support the construction team with technical information.
Stage 6. Commissioning
We provide guidance on luminaire focusing and programming of the lighting scheme before project hand over.
Consultation and Workshops sessions
We provide our lighting expertise in consultation sessions and design workshops.
Our goal is to contribute to an overall improvement of the illuminated environment in a limited time involvement. During practical, cohesive and of high-impact sessions we support architects, developers, authorities and end-users to have a better understanding of the impact of lighting in their projects. Our sessions are based on holistic thinking and aim to assist our clients build capacity and deal with the needs of lighting in the built environment.
Custom luminaires and luminous structures
Our lighting expertise extends to custom product design and luminaire development.
According to specific project needs we design custom luminaires, bespoke lighting equipment and luminous structures. We inspect product prototyping and assess samples to ensure overall quality of the final product.
