Renovation 2022 – completed
Lighting design for the extension of a connecting space. The scheme includes localised interventions in one connecting space of “River West” shopping mall. These spaces introduce the visitors to the mall’s new commercial identity. The design vocabulary targets on high visual impact, strong enough to create new experience spaces. This space is designed and constructed as a second phase, a year apart of transition Zone I.

Aim of the lighting scheme is to make an impact, to create an experience that stands out by itself, like a kaleidoscope. Luminous oblique frames combined with full-mirrored surfaces create an illusional effect small in extent but extremely strong and playful. While visitors walk through the corridor their reflections appear, disappear and perpetually multiply in infinity mirrors, extending the narrow boundaries to an endless possibilities space.
The second phase includes the widening of the corridor and the inclusion of the arising space in the intervention. The new extension has been seamlessly integrated and the overall space looks as it was designed in one go.
