Refurbishment, 2017 & 2021 – Completed
Lighting design for two interior connecting spaces that lead from the visitors parking to the interior of the shopping mall and to the outdoor extension. The two spaces are located in the basement of “River West” shopping mall towards the main gateways to the heart of mall. The first area from the parking to the heart of the mall was completed in 2017 and the second from the partking to the outdoor extension in 2021.

The lighting scheme focuses on enhancing the new design identity of the area, to facilitate orientation and way finding through a consistent lighting hierarchy and to provide a modern energising environment. Luminous shapes are hanging from the ceiling while triangular inground luminaires have been custom designed and programmed in a rhythmical sense of breathing.
The second area leads to the new built outdoor extension “River West Open”. This area has been completed in 2021. Key architectural element that defines the identity of this space is a luminous nebula that increses in density as the visitor approaches the getaway to the mall.
