The project includes the illumination of all interior and exterior areas of a 70’s apartment. Playfulness, flow, warmth, materiality, art, colour, tactility and openness have been key elements of the lighting design to match the architectural approach.

The ceilings are left clean and unobstructed and light sources are integrated the in architectural elements to provide cosy glare free brightness. Decorative luminaires allocated in key areas of the apartment give style, texture and flexibility.
A series of wall mounted light structures have been specially developed to illuminate the bedrooms of the apartment. The kids’ rooms are illuminated from a light structure that incorporates linear desk lighting, bed reading light and general lighting. General illumination is provided by an arched luminaire with shade, able to adjust and lock in position. As similar structure is designed of the parents’ room, where the arched luminaire becomes part of a bookcase.
A custom designed neon luminaire has been specially developed to create visual focus, accentuate the materiality of the exposed concrete column, plane with the different planes and link the yellow and white hues of the interior.
Glass luminaire shades found in the original apartment have been refurbished and re-used.
